Founders

[Brent Stewart]
Brent Stewart (), is Co-Founder, President and the "biz dev guy" at Voyij. Brent co-founded SideStep, Inc. and most recently served as the VP of Advertising Sales where he was responsible for implementing the overall advertising and sales strategy, building the advertising sales and operations teams that ultimately accounted for over 50% of SideStep's total revenue. Brent also played a major role in SideStep's product management, business development and partner strategy.

Before co-founding SideStep, Brent was the Director of Business Development at PointCast where he oversaw the implementation and management of industry content into the PointCast system. Earlier, Brent opened and managed the West Coast office for Science and Technology Management, Inc - a technology management firm where he was responsible for acquiring and developing new business in the electric power sector.

[Nick Atkins]
Nick Atkins (), is Co-Founder, CTO and "back end guru" at Voyij. Prior to Voyij, Nick was a Software Architect at travel start-up SideStep, Inc. where he met Paul and also played a key role in SideStep's success.

Nick has spent 18 years in software engineering and consulting. He has developed high-volume Web applications, search services and comparison engines since 1995. Previous to SideStep, Nick held senior technical positions at Scalix, Airflash, Netscape Communications and IBM Corp.

[Paul Kim]
Paul Kim (), is Co-Founder at Voyij. Prior to Voyij, Paul was the UI Engineering Manager at travel start-up SideStep, Inc. - "The Traveler's Search Engine", where he helped grow revenue to $35MM in 2007. SideStep was purchased at the end of 2007 by Kayak Networks for $196MM.

Paul is also a 7-year Yahoo! web development veteran. From 1999-2006, he has served on various development teams in User Experience & Design, Platform Design, Platform Engineering and Ad Systems - Media Delivery Services.

Brian Barth
Brian Barth, Founder, former CEO and former Director at SideStep, Inc. - "The Traveler's Search Engine".

Brian Barth is an MIT alum who, in 1999, started SideStep out of his house in Palo Alto, Calif. Barth is widely recognized as the pioneer of online travel search. Since he founded SideStep -- the first travel search engine -- the company and travel search sector as a whole have undergone remarkable growth. Under Barth's leadership, SideStep became the model for the next generation of online travel and more than 3.5 million consumers turn to SideStep each month to find travel bargains from 600 airlines, 150,000 hotels and 30,000 rental car outlets. The company enjoyed more than 100 percent year-over-year growth since inception and in 2005 exceeded $1 billion in gross bookings alone.

David Shen
David Shen, President of David Shen Ventures, LLC and former Vice President of User Experience and Design and Vice President of International Products at Yahoo!.

For almost 8 years, David was the Vice President of the User Experience and Design Team at Yahoo! and has been involved in almost every product and service Yahoo! has built in the U.S. and internationally. As an early employee of Yahoo!, he lived the startup life of working long, committed, and satisfying hours and embodied the "do what it takes" attitude required for success in entrepreneurism. In living the early years of Yahoo!, David came to intimately know the fast, low-budget, "take care of your users and listen to them" and "let the consumer decide" method of internet product development. Having worked on so many Yahoo! products, David also has a broad knowledge of effective business models on the Web.

  9. How does Voyij make money? Voyij is paid a commission to help travel suppliers sell their offers. The best part is that this means the largest number of aggregated deals on the web is available to consumers for free.
  10. Does Voyij collect any personally identifiable information? Absolutely not. All travel deals found through Voyij is booked directly with our travel partners. We will never ask you for a password, your credit card number, or even your name.
  11. Why is the price found on Voyij.com sometimes different that what is seen on the supplier's site? Prices change frequently in the travel industry. Voyij is constantly updating our deals to ensure they are accurate. Sometimes, however, a price will change quickly before we can update it in our system so users should double check before finalizing their booking.
  12. I searched for a particular destination but Voyij didn't come up with any results? Are there some destinations you simply don't cover? Because Voyij is focused on "deals" and "sales" only, there may be certain destinations and dates they do not currently have a deal available for them. Not to worry, if we don't have a specific deal for the dates and destinations you want on that given day, it could come up on another day. If you're in a hurry, we'll still help you find the very best price through one of our travel partners.
  13. Are there any additional fees that I may be surprised with in small print that is not evident when I'm booking a "deal" through Voyij? Voyij makes every effort to fully disclose the price of the airline ticket, hotel stay, or vacation package you are booking. In some cases the price shown includes tax, and in some cases it does not, but this is also displayed so you can make an informed comparison and decision.
  14. What kind of travel offers do you support in your system? Will you be adding more capabilities, if so what and in what timeframe? Voyij currently brings together the best Airline Ticket deals, Hotel deals, and Vacation Package deals. In the near future we will also provide Cruise deals and Car Rental deals.
  15. How can I change or cancel my reservation? All bookings are made with our travel partners, and these rules vary from site to site. Each site does have their specific policies clearly stated, be sure to review them before finalizing your purchase.
  16. Why don't I see the destination I want to go to listed? Because Voyij is focused on "deals" only, there may be certain destinations and dates they do not currently have a deal or sale available for them. Not to worry, if we don't have a specific deal for the dates and destinations you want on that given day, it could come up on another day. If you're in a hurry, we'll still help you find the very best price through one of our travel partners.
  17. Do you plan to add European, and Asian destinations? Right now, we cover North America and the Caribbean but yes, later this year, we plan to add additional international destinations TBD.
